An Old-Fashioned Candy Tradition

This candy shop first opened on Salisbury's Main Street in 2013 and moved ten miles down the road to China Grove in 2019, carrying its old-fashioned character with it. It is locally owned and run the traditional way, with candy weighed from the displays, fudge cut from the slab, and milkshakes spun at the counter. The selection rotates constantly, which keeps regulars hunting the shelves.

Our Story

The original owners refused to sell to just anyone. They held out for someone who shared their vision of an old-fashioned candy shop, and found him in Rohan Banton, a longtime local business owner who fell for the storefront the moment he walked in. The shop opened during Farmers Day 2019, the town's biggest weekend, and has been adding to the tradition since.

Very fun and inviting sweets shoppe. They have cupcakes, fudge, chocolate covered treats, and name brand candy. They also have a kid's version of a saloon where they make milkshakes and sodas. There's seating to dine in and even complete a table top puzzle. A classic use of the historic building.
